Seperti di umumkan di website resminya, Korn akan tampil di Download Festival tahun ini di Donington, UK pada 14 Juni 2013. JD juga menambahkan pada tahun ini Brian -‘Head’ Welch juga akan bergabung di European tour tahun ini.

Great news! Fieldy and his wife, Dena, are expecting a child this month. Since things are happening a little sooner than planned, Korn has enlisted famed bassist Ryan Martinie from Mudvayne to fill in for Fieldy for some of the upcoming Korn shows. The Korn guys are glad to have Ryan onboard, and are very happy for Fieldy and his family’s new arrival.

Here is what Munky had to say:

When did you first hear or see Slipknot and what made you a fan?

“I came off of a tour and heard their first record. Ross Robinson gave it to me in 1999. He said, ‘Listen to this. It will change your life.’ I couldn’t believe some of the riffs I was hearing. That level of intensity and anger was something I always wanted my own band to accomplish. We played a European festival with them, and I remember them walking around backstage in their masks. They were super intimidating, even though they’re just normal guys [Laughs]. Paul Gray was probably one of the nicest most down-to-earth people ever. I can’t say enough good things about that guy. Having Ross Robinson as a producer early on, we all come from the same family as far as similar ideas about music. It’s unspoken, but we had some kind of connection because of that.

When Joey Jordison was playing with us, he brought a different feel to it altogether. Actually, Clint Lowery [Sevendust] was playing with us at the time doing background guitars. He brought up that maybe Joey would be available, and I thought it would be the coolest thing. We found out he was down to do it. There might be some video footage of me freaking out and saying, ‘Yeah, I can’t believe it!’ [Laughs] The first time he came in and jammed with us, there was a lot of excitement, especially after the ups and downs we had been through. I like Iowa. There’s something raw and real about that record. People could take a lesson from that album. That record is my favorite. Everything about that album is incredible. It has all of the elements that make a great metal album. What those guys through, their process, and dedication shines right there on Iowa. We’d love to tour with them! A boy can only dream [Laughs].”

ANNUAL ULTIMATE ROCK MUSIC CRUISE VACATION SAILS NOVEMBER 27-DECEMBER 1

Multiplatinum rock band Korn has joined the lineup as co-headliner—with Godsmack—for the fourth annual ShipRocked, the ultimate rock music cruise vacation which sails November 27 - December 1. Other lineup additions for ShipRocked 2012—Fueled by Monster Energy—include Pop Evil, Helmet, The Halo Method (featuring Ben Moody, ex-Evanescence/We Are The Fallen; Dave Buckner, ex-Papa Roach; and Lukas Rossi, winner of Rockstar Supernova), Dead Sara, Write This Down and Andy Wood & The Amalgam.

“I did a cruise last year DJing as J Devil, and it was a fucking blast—such a great time,” says Jonathan Davis of Korn. “We’re really looking forward to doing it this year as Korn with Monster Energy and all these great musicians. This is going to be an unbelievable event.”
